CABLE PRICING Over the last 4 weeks, we have seen multiple price increases flowing through from all cable suppliers. The reason for this is the instability of the international copper price on the London Metal Exchange (LME). As you can see in the chart below the copper price rose steadily throughout February, increasing 20% in the space of 3 weeks. Currently, our suppliers will only hold quoted prices for 7 days. Of course, copper is a key component of most electrical products and therefore we expect to see price rises flow through from all suppliers over the coming months. If you have any questions or concerns on upcoming project prices please discuss it with one of our Branch Managers.
